TRAVEL TEAMS
2022-23 Season Information
Ages
STMAYHA Travel Program provides hockey for boys and girls ages 9 to 15. Players must be 9 by June 1, 2022.
Boys and girls will play separate from each other, however, their level structure will be similar.
There are four levels of play in the travel program.
Where
All primary ice time is located at the STMA Ice Arena, with occasional ice time located at Moose Sherritt Ice Arena in Monticello.
Tryouts
Tryout dates for the season will be communicated in August.

Parent Meeting
Levels
Squirt / 10U
Youth ages 9-11, born June 1, 2011 - May 31, 2013.
Teams are structured with A, B1, B2 and C levels.
PeeWee/12U
Youth ages 11-13, born June 1, 2009 - May 31, 2011 (non-checking).
Teams are structured with AA, B1 and B2 levels.
Bantam/15U
Youth boys ages 13-15, born June 1, 2007 - May 31, 2009 (checking)
Youth girls ages 13-16 born June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2009.
Teams are structured with AA, A, B1 and B2 levels.
Cost & Volunteer Requirements
Registration Cost
Bantam/15U: $1,500
PeeWee/12U: $1,400
Squirts/10U: $1,300
Goalies (All Levels):
First Year Goalies: Free
Second Year Goalies: 50% Discount
3+ Year Goalies: $400 Discount
Players who are placed on AA/A teams will have an incremental fee to reflect additional ice time and tournaments.

Games & Practices
Games
STMAYHA Knights and NWC RiverHawks participate in league play, district and regional play-offs through MN District 5 Hockey.
Tournaments
Each traveling team will be scheduled four tournaments.
Practices
Ice times and schedules are structured to maximize ice time as much as possible. Times are rotated at all levels and teams. Peewee/ Bantam/12U and 15U levels will utilize morning and later evening practice times.
Jerseys & STMA Apparel
Each skater will receive a light (home game) and dark (away game) jersey with coordinating socks that they will keep at the end of the season. Each player will also receive a practice jersey and association warm up sweatshirt for game days.
*Association apparel and helmet stickers must be worn to games (no non-association apparel including AAA and other hockey affiliations can be worn to games).
Frequently Asked Questions
When do they play?
The season runs from October-March.
When do we get the schedule?
Schedules generally come out every 2-3 weeks. Games and tournaments are known ahead of time.
Do you provide equipment?
Unfortunately, we no longer provide equipment.
What if we don't pay?
Skaters will be removed from the ice until payment is made.
