Youth 8U/Mites & 8U Girls Season Updates

We’re excited to get another Youth 8U/Mites & 8U Girls season underway! Here are a few important updates as we get ready to hit the ice.

Preseason Skills Begin October 4: All registered Youth 8U/Mites & 8U Girls players have been assigned to a preseason skills group. Families should now see their player’s group under Teams in the STMA Youth Hockey app and on their family calendar. If you do not see your player’s group, please contact us as soon as possible.

Parent Meetings – October 20 | Middle School East

**6:15 PM – First-Year Families**

**7:15 PM – Second-Year/Returning Families**

We strongly encourage families to attend to learn more about what to expect this season and other important information for Youth 8U/Mites & 8U Girls.

Interested in Coaching? We’re looking for parents interested in helping on the ice this season! Complete the Youth 8U/Mites & 8U Girls Coaches Intake Form so we can get coaches through the required steps and ready for the start of the season here.

Complete Your Volunteer Requirements: Parents/guardians need to ensure they have completed their USA Hockey registration, STMAYHA Volunteer Registration, SafeSport, and background screening (if due).

As a reminder, families are required to complete 10 hours of association volunteer work per player during the 2026-27 season.

Registration is Still Open! Know someone who still wants to play? Please remind them to register as soon as possible so we can add their player to a skills group and get them ready for the season. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the rink!
