Logistics/paperwork reminders:

  • You will need to check your child in before each camp session through the lobby of the Gold (old) rink at our front desk; we will give locker room assignments there as well
  • If you are already registered for the regular season you will not need to fill out any additional paperwork for the camp, however if you are not registered for the season you will need to fill out the waiver at the bottom of the web page and  ensure it is turned into the volunteers at our front desk before your player can be on the ice
  • With as many kids as we have coming to each session, we cannot accommodate switching groups for the sessions, so please plan to have your child skate with their designated group

Equipment:

  • Your player will need to have skates, helmet (w/mask preferred), gloves and a stick at minimum to attend the camp. Full hockey gear/pads would be helpful as it makes the learning process a little more comfortable for the kids.
  • If you are in need of equipment the association does have a limited amount to loan. Tammy Tupper is our equipment manager and  you can call or text her at 763-670-1461
  • Getting well-fitted skates is the most important thing (equipment-wise) you can do for your child as they learn skating skills. If you are unsure on how your child's skates fit or have questions, see Tuff at Hat Trick Hockey in Albertville prior to the camp
  • Hockey stick length - the general rule is that when it's standing straight up and down, the stick should come between your child's chin and their nose when they are on skates
